Jane and James met in Washington D.C. during the summer of 2022, while both were completing internships. Jane was immediately attracted to James' easygoing personality, his sense of humor, and his intelligence. James was attracted to Jane's contagious laugh, her quick wit, and her ability to make friends easily. After a summer of exploring the history and city of D.C. - and spending every free second together - Jane and James returned to Utah to finish school.

Both graduated from Brigham Young University in 2023 and fell deeper in love with each season. Meeting each other's wonderful families and friends only solidified their impressions of having found in each other a life-long partner. Hinting to their romance in D.C., James proposed to Jane at the Utah State Capitol on November 25, 2023.

Jane and James love to go on hikes, laugh, spend time with their friends, and travel. They are excited to begin their lives together and look forward to celebrating this summer with all whom they love.
